- Deputy Nursery Manager required for a medium sized setting in the Withington area of Manchester. the nursery is an independent setting which has recently expanded and gained a 'good' Ofsted rating
We are looking for an individual with a passion and enthusiasm for delivering high quality care and learning experiences with an emphasis on staff development. The role will be room part room based and part office based and must have strong management skills as well as being ale to build relationships with parents.
What the employer can offer for the Deputy Nursery Manager role in Withington, Manchester:- £22k - £26k per annum
- Full time hours - 40 hrs Monday to Friday

- Ideally have existing deputy level experience within a nursery setting, but will consider experienced Room Leaders with experience of performing staff supervisions and chairing team meetings.
- Must be at least Level 3 qualified
- Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
- An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
- Experience of managing/supervising staff
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies
- Managing and maintaining administration requirements
- Supporting the manager in the day to day management of the provision and acting up in their absence
- Managing an established team of Room Leaders, Practitioners, Kitchen staff and Apprentices.
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Ensuring that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with and that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Deploying staff appropriately
- Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary
