An exciting opportunity has arisen for a successful small nursery chain for a highly driven nursery Regional Manager (Area Nursery Manager) based across Greater London.

Job Purpose of the Nursery Area Manager
Reporting to the CEOs and Operational Director to manage and maintain operational standards across the nurseries.
The Regional Nursery Manager will be responsible for the regional management of the group of nurseries and will line manage the Nursery Managers and, ensure that all targets are met and developed for each of the provisions.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Regional Nursery Manager
  • The successful applicant will use their extensive skills, knowledge and experience to inspire the management teams and lead staff practice to engage and motivate children. You will be expected to travel across all sites You will work with the Operations director to design and deliver a clear strategic framework that enables the delivery of our operational and financial targets,
  • Supporting the directors and managers in the continuing development and progress of all nurseries to ‘Outstanding’.
  • Overseeing and leading managers and staff at each nursery to ensure the delivery of all the Company’s objectives and goals
  • Working across all nursery sites, to ensure all agreed company quality and safety standards are maintained and provide support where necessary
  • Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date and being adhered to.
  • · Regularly reviewing and monitoring occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity and that ratio and conditions of registration are adhered to
  • Maintaining an up to date understanding of what Ofsted are focusing on and to ensure compliance with the regulatory body at all times.
  • To carry out performance management of managers and provide regular feedback
  • To ensure SEND standards are promoted, implemented and having an impact on the outcomes of children.
  • To manage budgets for revenue and costs and deliver financial performance
  • To quality improve teaching and learning outcome for all children
  • To offer support and assistance to the other team members
We welcome applicants with the following:
  • Experience in leading, managing and developing people.
  • Extensive senior Nursery Management experience, ideally at area manager level
  • Must be driven and demonstrate a true commitment to deliver uncompromising quality in all areas, and be able to share this drive with others.
  • Must demonstrate an unrelenting work ethic that inspires and motivates others.
  • Experience of working within business and marketing plans to demonstrate the sustainability, profitability and growth of the business.
  • understanding of commercial, finance and budgetary skills, with experience of working within performance management systems.
  • Experience of working strategically within an organisation with the ability to achieve affective and productive partnerships with Local Authorities and other agencies.
  • An ability to professionally communicate and empathise with colleagues, parents and children.
  • Experience of leading a remote colleague team, including recruitment supervision, work allocation, assessment of training and professional development needs.
  • Excellent knowledge of current legislation with regard to children and safeguarding.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation and social skills, with the ability to speak to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to produce high quality, clear and concise written material for a range of readerships.
  • Computer literacy skills and in particular the ability to manage own word-processing, excel and management software reporting.

Desirable
  • A degree and management level qualification
  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager within a Nursery Group.
  • Experience of working towards and delivering operational and financial targets.
