- NURSERY GROUP OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a brand new small nursery chain for a highly driven nursery group operations director based across the North of England,
The company are launching a pioneering nursery group that will not only focus on high quality education but also daily physical activity and outdoor adventure. They are recruiting for an experienced and highly performing operations director to fulfil a role as Nursery Group Operations Director. the group will initially consist of 3 nurseries in Manchester Rotherham and Stoke, however 2021 will see the group consist of 12 settings and this will increase to 20 settings by the end of 2022 and 60 by 2025
The Role…
The overall leadership and management of the group, including the on-going recruitment and development of a high performing team. Reporting directly to the group CEO you will be based at the group head office in South Manchester and working across all nursery settings. The successful applicant will use their extensive skills, knowledge and experience to inspire the management teams and lead staff practice to engage and motivate children. You will be expected to travel across all sites, which are all based within a 60-minute drive of Manchester. You will work with the CEO to design and deliver a clear strategic framework that enables the delivery of our operational and financial targets,
What you will be doing …
· Supporting the directors and managers in the continuing development and progress of all nurseries to ‘Outstanding’.
· Overseeing and leading managers and staff at each nursery to ensure the delivery of all the Company’s objectives and goals
· Working across all nursery sites, to ensure all agreed company quality and safety standards are maintained and provide support where necessary
· Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date and being adhered to.
· Regularly reviewing and monitoring occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity and that ratio and conditions of registration are adhered to
· Maintaining an up to date understanding of what Ofsted are focusing on and to ensure compliance with the regulatory body at all times.
· To carry out performance management of managers and provide regular feedback
· To ensure SEND standards are promoted, implemented and having an impact on the outcomes of children.
· To manage budgets for revenue and costs and deliver financial performance
· To quality improve teaching and learning outcome for all children
· To offer support and assistance to the other team members
We would love to meet someone with …
Essential
· Experience in leading, managing and developing people.
· Extensive senor Nursery Management experience, ideally at area/operations manager level
· An understanding of how to manage outstanding setting
· A proven record of achieving strong financial performance
· A minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare
· A passionate and positive attitude towards supporting and motivating a staff team
· Extensive experience of managing budgets
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
· A degree and management level qualification
· Previous experience as an Operations Director within a Nursery Group.
· Extensive experience of working towards and delivering operational and financial targets.
