- Deputy Manager required for a residential childcare setting in Twickenham, Greater London
We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Childcare professional to work as a Deputy Manager for a home that supports children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
The company is a small new organisation whom has the care of children embedded into the whole ethos of the organisation.
Due to the nature of this role candidates must have experience of working within residential care with children and be a car owner/driver
What the role of Deputy Residential manager can offer:- Salary £28 - £35k per annum plus sleep-in allowance (£52 per sleep-in)

- To work on a shift basis as per the needs of the home
- Must hold a Recognised Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent for children’s units only.
- Level 5 Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services
- Must have 4 years experience in a children’s residential setting or in residential services
- Must have 2 years management experience of a team/teams (may be as Senior)
- Must have a full UK driving licence and own car
- An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
- To support the Registered Manager in appropriately managing resources in line with the Code of Conduct, Statement of Purpose, Policies and Procedures.
- To support the Registered / Divisional Manager to manage in a way that ensures the privacy, respect and dignity of the young person at all times and to create a culture, which recognises the Equal Opportunities of all
- To contribute to the assessment of individual young people’ needs in order to assist individuals to secure the appropriate levels of resources and support to enable them to lead a fulfilling and active life.
- To work with the manager to maintain a high level of support for all young people at all times.
- To be, on a delegated basis, responsible for ensuring all records relating to young people and their progress are accurate and updated in such a manner as to ensure a high quality end product is available at all times. To make available high quality reports as requested by the young people’s families, your line manager, Senior Management Team, Ofsted and/or other involved professionals
