What you need for the Registered Manager role in Croydon
- 3 years’ experience working with children in the last 5 years.
- NVQ Level 4 in Childcare or Equivalent
- Management Qualification or working towards
- At least 1 year at senior level – Manager or deputy.
- supervision or management experience
- Working with children, young people and their families
- work in a residential setting
- Inter-agency work
- Working with children with a learning disability and/or physical disabilities.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving license and be willing to drive as part of the role
- Flexibility as will be required to work shifts including; evenings, weekends and nights as part of a rota.
What is involved:
- Be responsible for managing all aspects of running the home, for medium to long term planned placements
- Ensure the young people are supported and live within a stable, caring home
- Lead and direct staff to ensure high quality of care is provided to the residents
- Promote a positive, unconditional caring environment
- Contribute to the strategic and business planning of the service
- To meet Ofsted and other regulatory requirements including good practice initiatives.
