- Description
- We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Childcare professional to work as Residential Support Workers for a home that supports young people aged 11 - 17 years based in Oldham.
MUST HAVE FORMAL PAID EXPERIENCE WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11 - 17 YEARS OF AGE.
The company is a small business whom has the care of children embedded into the whole ethos of the organisation.
What the Residential Support worker role in Oldham role can offer:- 18,252 to £20,280 plus sleep ins at £40 per sleep
- Working shifts including 24hrs with a sleep-in.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by
- Attending and preparing for children’s conferences, reviews, planning, core group and other meetings in connection with children placed with the company
- Maintaining children’s records accurately and within agreed time-scales
- Undertaking Key Worker responsibilities conscientiously and in accordance with agreed time-scales
- To participate and contribute to the collation and preparation of Assessment and Action Records (when this is in accordance with the child’s care plan).
- Working on a rota basis including 24hr shifts with sleep-ins
- Ideally hold a Recognised Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent for children’s units only.
- Experience of working with children aged 11 - 17 years in a paid capacity (not early yeas or primary aged)
- Full driving licence
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must have a full UK driving licence
- An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
