Description
Childrens Support Workers / Childrens Support Assistants required for an 'outstanding' service supporting children and young people with complex needs in the Epsom area of Surrey.

What does the role offer:
  • Full time role offering 37.5 hrs a week
  • 35 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays, but amounts to 27days + bank holidays) - leave allowance increases every 5 years
  • Salary - £18,234 – £24,785 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus enhancements.
  • Enhancements are also applicable for waking nights etc

What is involved:
  • Supporting children 7 - 17 who have an acquired brain injury and other associated complex needs.
  • Many of the children will be non-verbal and will have physical disabilities in addition.
  • Support with daily routines to include food prep, personal care, education, physio
  • Work involves supporting children who are attending rehab so they can be supported to return home; and those children within long term residential support at the site with support in education environment
  • To operate across a 24hr shift pattern which includes days, evenings, waking nights and weekends.

What experience and skills do you need:
  • Our client are looking for individuals who are either already working with children in care or are keen to develop in this area and have transferable skills i.e. previous support work experience with adults with complex needs or alternatively those who have formal experience with children in other capacities.
  • Commitment to work 37.5 hrs over a 24 hr rota (this will include some weekend hours and waking nights) - can be discussed further
  • Ideally a driver due to site location, although if you can make alternative arrangements to travel to enable reliability this is not essential.
