Registered Childrens Home Manager based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Are you an experienced Childrens Home Manager who would love to have a hand in setting up a brand new home and be involved in recruiting their whole staff team from scratch?

If so we are currently recruiting for a Registered Childrens Home Manager based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

The company

Our client has over 10 years’ experience within SEND and SMEH organisations. The Directors ambition is to improve on current methods used in homes with the use of their innovative approach, which they expect to greatly improve the lives of
the children.

In order for any organisation to thrive, they also understand that their team members are key, therefore they we will be investing heavily into their health and wellbeing and will provide them a very generous incentive scheme.

The first home will fall under SMEH and is expected to open in early 2020, and the plan is to open another five homes in Yorkshire over the next three years, providing promotional and developmental opportunities for all members of staff.

The role of Registered Childrens Home Manager in Sheffield:

The Registered Childrens Home Manager is accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people within the home. This means that they are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters.They will lead on ensuring the philosophy of the company is implemented throughout all practice (full job description can be provided).

Essential requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or are willing to work towards (it is expected that a potential RM will already hold the Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification);
  • Residential Childcare experience within a children’s home - minimum 3 years
  • Supervision of Staff
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Flexibility as will be required to work shifts including; evenings, weekends and nights as part of a rota.
  • Experience of dealing with Ofsted as a Registered Childrens Home Manager.
