- Description
- We are currently recruiting for a qualified Nursery Manager based in Northampton. We are looking for someone who is available to work full time and has a level 3 qualification in childcare as a minimum. Additional qualifications in management are also desirable.
The role is to cover a period of maternity. The company will endeavour to keep you on at the end of the contract, potentially at a nearby nursery in the group, although no guarantees can be made at this stage unfortunately.
The nursery is Ofsted "Outstanding" and has places for 60 children between the ages of 0-5. The setting is open from 7.30am to 6pm. As the nursery is based in Northampton, it is essential you live close by, or are commutable to the area.
As well as providing all the activities you would expect from a top-quality nursery, the team also offer extra curriculum activities such as yoga, French, music & movement and sing & sign. They believe these activities are simply part of a quality brand and should be enjoyed by all children – therefore these programmes are provided at no extra cost.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in childcare
- Experience managing a private day nursery
- Experience leading a nursery through an Ofsted inspection and gaining either a Good or Outstanding grade
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong commercial skills with experience marketing the services of a nursery and driving up occupancy numbers
- Availability to work full time
- Passion for childcare
- Strong knowledge of the early years curriculum
- Based in or easily commutable to Northampton
Salary is entirely negotiable at this stage - the companies main priority is getting a strong candidate for the role.
