- Nursery Cook required for a permanent full time role catering for young children in a quality early years setting near Stretford.
IDEALLY TO HAVE FORMAL CATERING EXPERIENCE WITHIN A NURSERY, SCHOOL OR CARE HOME.
What the employer can offer for the Nursery Cook role near Stretford, Greater Manchester- 30 - 38 hours a week (Monday to Friday between 7am and 3pm - 38 hours ideally but if someone wants less hours there is scope to go down to 30 hours)

- At least 2 years experience as a cook - managing all aspects of the kitchen
- Level 2 or above Food & Hygiene or equivalent.
- Experience of catering in either a Nursery, School, or Care Home ideally
- A love of children
- Responsible and reliable attitude – children need to eat each day!
- A caring and kind personality – warm towards the children
- Strong awareness and adherence to allergens and allergen awareness
- Strict attitude to food safety, food hygiene and cleanliness
- Preparing and catering lunch for approx 50 children and 25 staff daily - small breakfast, two course lunch and aftersnoon snack type tea.
- Responsible for stock levels, budget control and ordering of stock.
- Ensuring cleanliness of kitchen at all time.
- Following guidelines with regards to catering for children.
