- Residential Childcare Team leader (Senior RCW) required for home supporting children with learning and physical disabilities in the Wythenshawe area.
We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Childcare professional to work as Senior Residential Childcare Worker (Senior RCW) for a home that supports children with learning disabilities based in Wythenshawe.
The role is a permanent full-time position (169 hours average per month - 39 hrs a week). Typically you would undertake 2 x 24hrs shifts one week and 3 the next e.g 930am - 11pm sleep in then 730am - 930am. The rota is NOT a 2 on and 4 off genrally speaking, so for the main part you will have days off between 24hrs shifts. The rota is planned 4 - 6 weeks in advance.

Main duties and Responsibilities:- To lead and motivate your team.
- To prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment.
- To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by the company.
- To supervise your team in accordance with the Company’s supervision policies.
- To be an active and positive member of the establishment’s management team
- Suppporting young people withn personal care
Experience and Qualifications for the Residential Childcare Team Leader (Senior RCW)- Must have a full UK driving license
- Must hold a Recognised Level 3 Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce
- Senior Level experience supporting either children or adults with learning disabilities
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment
