Are you an experienced Childrens Home Manager who would love to have a hand in setting up a brand new home and be involved in recruiting their whole staff team from scratch?
If so we are currently recruiting for a Registered Childrens Home Manager based in Watford, Hertfordshire.
Due to expansion our client have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and determined Registered Manager for one of their children’s homes in Watford.
The company
Our client set up their services over 2 years ago and have a range of provisions ranging from a Family Assessment Centre to offering outreach parenting support packages, a contact centre and an existing children’s residential home. Our clients aim is to provide safety and stability to children in a time of great difficulty and change, enabling the children and young people to continue with everyday life even though they may be facing tough challenges.
The new home will provide a therapeutic and nurturing environment so that the children feel safe and cared for whilst learning boundaries and self-care skills
The role of Registered Childrens Home Manager in Watford, Hertfordshire:
Our client are looking for someone who knows how to make a house, a home.
This opportunity will see you lead and inspire your own team of up to ten staff members. With your guidance, the team will ensure that the children living within the home have the very best care, great role models and a place to call home.
The organisation aims to go above and beyond for their children, making sure that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood, including;
• Creating memory books • Going on holidays • Having barbeques in the garden • Decorating the children’s bedrooms

Essential requirements:- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
- At least one year in a role supervising and managing staff
- The following qualification; LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
- A “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections
