- Senior Residential Childcare Worker (Team Leader / Senior Residential Children's Support Worker / Senior RCW / Senior Therapeutic Carer) role in Shrewsbury.
We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Childcare professional to work as Senior Therapeutic Childcare Worker for a home that supports young people aged 11 - 17 years with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD) in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

What the Senior RCW role can offer:- Pay £11.50 - £12.50 per hour plus sleep-ins at £40 per sleep (equates to £27,082 to £29,110 per annum average 10 sleeps per month)

- Must hold a Recognised Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent for children’s units only.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience working within a children's residential home
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must have a full UK driving licence
- An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
- To lead and motivate your team.
- To prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment.
- To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by the company.
- To supervise your team in accordance with the Company’s supervision policies.
- To be an active and positive member of the establishment’s management team.
- To attend and contribute to your own supervision sessions and appraisal processes.
- To represent the Company when called upon to do so by exhibiting the highest professional standards.
- To participate in training programmes and individual training courses.
- Undertaking 24hrs shifts with “sleep-in” duties in accordance with the home’s rota.
