- Bamboo Childcare are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager (Assistant Nursery Manager) on behalf of our client - a small 30 place setting Burnham, Berkshire area. The setting has a real focus on physical activity and lots of outdoor play
The role is 40 hours per week working 5 days, on a rota basis
The role is room-based with also time within the office to support the manager with paperwork. Making it an ideal opportunity for an exiting experienced room leader or third in charge looking for a step up. However, experienced Deputy Managers would also be very much welcomed.

- Must have experience working extensively as a Room leader at Third in Charge/Deputy Manager level.
- Must be at least Level 3 qualified
- Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
- Experience of managing/supervising staff with extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies
- Able to demonstrate multi-agency working and experience of leading staff meetings.
- Managing and maintaining administration requirements
- Being based in rooms whilst also supporting the Manager
- Supporting the Manager with the administrative running of the setting
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Ensuring that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with and that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Deploying staff appropriately
- Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary
- Attending meetings and marketing events on occasion
