Room Leader

We have fantastic opportunity for a Room Leader in Sevenoaks.
This is a permanent full-time position based on 40 hours per week, open Monday to Friday 07.30 - 18.15.
Our client's nursery in Sevenoaks was once a large barn which has recently been converted in to a beautiful 80 place nursery offering childcare spaces for children from 2 months to 5 years. The nursery has its own library for children to explore, a dedicated parent’s room for parents to chat and watch their children settle into nursery. Health and nutrition are very important to the nursery so well-balanced meals are prepared daily for the children as well as access to a well-equipped outdoor area.
Offering a competitive salary of:
£17,700 - £20,800 depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities of the Room Leader in Sevenoaks.

• Responsible for the running of your own room, staff and care of the children.
• Monitor observations, planning and maintenance of staffs learning journeys in accordance to the EYFS and also your own.
• Delegate and lead your team effectively.
• Support staff where required.
• Organise and attend staff meetings and training courses as required.
• Promoting best practice in the nursery.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents and outside agencies.
• Displaying a real passion for childcare and the setting.
• Communicate effectively and comply with nurseries policies and procedures and be willing to learn, develop and implement change where necessary.

What are we looking for in the Room Leader in Sevenoaks?

• Minimum Level 3 in Childcare.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Solid understanding of all procedures and policies within a nursery.
• Strong communication skills.
• A passion for delivering the best childcare provision.
• EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge essential.
