- Nursery Group Operations Director required for a growing nursery group based across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Nursery Manager to fulfill a role as Nursery Group Operations Director for a group of 5 nursery settings based across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
The role is a permanent role 40 hrs a week Monday to Friday
Salary is £40k per annum plus bonus scheme.
The group are well established and have grown significantly over the last few years. The settings are all currently graded 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, and the group will be looking to expand the portfolio of nurseries as and when suitable opportunities arise.
Our client are seeking someone with strong business and commercial acumen who can deliver good financial performance from each setting, alongside attainment of 'outstanding' gradings for all settings.
The role will be based working across all nursery settings. The successful applicant will use their extensive skills, knowledge and experience to inspire the management teams and lead staff practice to engage and motivate children. They will be expected to travel across all sites, which are all based within a 20-minute drive of North Manchester.

In order to be considered for the role of Nursery Group Operations Director you will need:- extensive Nursery Management experience, ideally within a outstanding setting
- a proven record of achieving strong financial performance
- a minimum level 3 qualification and ideally a degree and management level qualification.
- experience managing a large staff team
- a passionate and positive attitude towards supporting and motivating a staff team
- supporting the directors and managers in the continuing development and progress of all nurseries to 'Outstanding'.
- Overseeing and lead managers and staff at each nursery to ensure the delivery of all the Company’s objectives and goals
- Working across all nursery sites, to ensure all agreed Company quality and safety standards are maintained and provide support where necessary
- Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date and being adhered to
- Regularly reviewing and monitoring occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity and that ratio and conditions of registration are adhered to
- Overseeing robust human resources policies and procedures
- Maintaining an up to date understanding of what Ofsted are focusing on and to ensure compliance with the regulatory body at all times.
- To carry out performance management of Nursery Directors and Managers and provide regular feedback
- To ensure SEND standards are promoted, implemented and having an impact on the outcomes of children.
- To manage budgets for revenue and costs and deliver financial performance.
- To quality improve teaching and learning outcome for all children
- To offer support and assistance to the other team members
