Description
Bamboo Childcare are recruiting for a Nursery Manager on behalf of a nursery in the Stockport area.
This is a permanent position for 40 hrs per week.
The role is available either Mon - Fri or there is the option to work 4 longer days.
£24,000 - £26,000 per year.
The nursery is a lovely small setting with 26 places for children.
The nursery is conveniently situated close to the busy commuter links in Cheshire and perfectly located for someone traveling to or from Manchester along the A6.
You may be asked to work at a couple of their other settings from time to time which are both in the local area.
The nursery is part of a chain of nurseries that have the highest reputation for great childcare.

In order to be considered for the role of Nursery Manager in Stockport, you will need:
  • A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children
  • Manager or Deputy Manager experience within a nursery
  • A full and relevant childcare qualification Level 3 or above
Key responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop and manage the operational framework and standards to ensure the smooth running of the nursery at all times. Ensure the required standards, ratios and conditions of registration are maintained at all times.
  • Plan and deliver effective daily management of the nursery, in accordance with Company policies, all relevant legislation, plus local authority and Ofsted requirements.
  • Ensure the provision is of the highest quality, providing a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment catering for the children’s educational and developmental needs.
  • To ensure that all agreed quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and overall management of all childcare and other staff.
  • Liase closely with the parents/carers to ensure high levels of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Monitor occupancy levels to ensure that they are maximised and proactively markets the nursery to meet these objectives
  • Ensure that the nurseries procedures on child protection are adhered to liaising with the Operations Manager and local social services as requested.
