- We are recruiting for an exciting position of Deputy Nursery Manager within a brand new setting in the center of Garstang.
The role is all year round and hours are typically 830 - 530pm Monday to Friday, but there is flexibility with this i.e. could be 830am until 430pm or 930am until 530pm Monday to Friday.
This is a chance to really shape and build a new team and put your own stamp on things whilst working closely alongside the Manager.
The setting is within a brand new property in a scenic setting next to the river and will be open all year around for 42 children aged from birth to 5 years
What you can expect for the Deputy Nursery Manager role in Garstang:- Up to 12.10 per hour (may be negotiable for the right experience)
- Hours usually 830 - 530pm but may be some negotiation i.e. 830 - 430pm or 930 - 530pm
- A comprehensive pension scheme with employer contributions
- Hold minimum level 3 childcare qualification
- Senior level experience in an early years setting
- Experience leading a team within an early years setting
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of the EYFS
- Actively promote and support the protection of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe nursery policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
- Help lead and support staff to implement the EYFS
- Monitor and evaluate practice within playrooms to support improvements.
- Work with parents/carers of all children to achieve full integration in the nursery.
- Foresee the needs of all children, families and staff and give wellbeing guidance as appropriate.
- Support all staff and lead a good staff team with high morale.
- Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
- To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
