Description
We are recruiting for a permanent full time Administrator and Finance Assistant based in Hale Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

The position is a full time permanent role (37.5hrs) Monday to Friday 9am until 530pm with one hour lunch, and is based in a busy, but informal office.

Key responsbilities of the Administrator and Finance Assistant role near Altrincham are:
  • To maintain overall responsibility for accounts processing for a set of childcare provisions.
  • Invoicing around 150 – 200 customers per month using nursery software and processing the direct debit collection
  • Payment allocation of other receipts (bank transfers, tax free childcare & nursery vouchers) to our nursery management software 
  • Processing telephone credit card receipts
  • Weekly credit control by email, mail or telephone
  • Sales ledger invoice entry/ import and payment runs using Sage 50
  • Monthly credit card processing in Sage 50
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with claiming for and allocating funded nursery hours under the Government’s 15 or 30 free childcare scheme
  • Applying free childcare funding onto a Nursery Management System and processing funding applications on the local authority portal
Requirements and attributes of the Finance Assistant role:
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Sage 50 and Parenta preferred.
  • Possess a good understanding of Word and Excel
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, reliable and confident – a DBS check will be required
