Senior Residential Child Care Worker (Senior RCW) in Wythenshawe area.

We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Childcare professional to work as Senior Residential Child Care Worker (Senior RCW) for a home that supports children with learning difficulties based in Wythenshawe. (We are also recruiting for an RCW for this service if you know of anyone suitable).

What the role can offer:
· Salary £21294 to £24,336 per annum plus sleep-ins at £40 per sleep (typically 2 sleep-ins a week).

Main duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead and motivate your team.
• To prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment.
• To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by the company.
• To supervise your team in accordance with the Company’s supervision policies.
• To be an active and positive member of the establishment’s management team

Experience and Qualifications for the Senior Residential Child Care Worker

• Must hold a Recognised Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent ideally (may consider a senior support worker who has learning disabilities experience with adults and therefore holds a generic level 3 social care qualification).
• Senior Level experience supporting either children or adults with learning disabilities
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Must have a full UK driving licence
• An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment
