Based in the North West, Bamboo Childcare covers a local area of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire & Merseyside (Nationwide for Maternity Nurses and Live-in Nannies). Due to our wealth of experience of recruiting in the care sector and our own childcare experiences we are able to ensure this often complex recruitment process is effective and stress free. We understand that finding the right childcare is a key element to a happy family life and are committed to finding the perfect nanny for your family. We are keen to meet you and your family personally so that we can match our candidates training, experience and personality to your needs. We want you to feel comfortable with the caliber of personnel we provide and more importantly your child feels happy and secure.
Our number one priority is the wellbeing of your children and therefore screening our candidates is essential. Our recruitment and checking procedures of our Nanny’s go above and beyond those set out by the REC and Ofsted. All our nannies complete an application form with a detailed work history, they are interviewed face to face and we take at least two references to cover a minimum of three years work placements. Candidates will have an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau check) that has been issued within the last twelve months. Ofsted registered Nannies will have completed a First Aid course. As security and suitability is our priority at Bamboo Childcare we encourage all our Nannies to complete Ofsted registration. The register gives you the peace of mind that your Nanny is suitably qualified, experienced and checked to care for your children. It also means that you are able to take advantage of the government ‘tax credits’, ‘or childcare vouchers’ which can be a huge financial saving.
We are here to advise and support you through the selection and ongoing employment of your childcarer by providing you with information on interviewing techniques, contracts of employment, insurances, pay and tax.

Bamboo childcare came to my rescue when my childminder resigned and I was struggling to keep on top of housework with a 5 year old and twins aged 3 and working full time. I needed help but wasn't quite sure what. I contacted Bamboo and had a reassuring call and within 24 hours Eleanor came to meet me and she understood my needs and talked me through the options.
